God is infinite, and everything about Him is incomprehensible. No one could possibly even begin to fully understand His greatness, power, and glory. But this should not discourage us from even trying. In fact, it should instead encourage us to constantly strive toward that goal of understanding who and what God is. Every single day God teaches me new things and brings to my attention something about Him that I hadn't realized before. Human hearts are finite, and unable to fully perceive their Creator, but His inconceivable greatness is something that should bring us to worship and adoration of Him. His incredible might and power may make us think that He is beyond our reach, but this same great God loved us weak, perverse beings so much that he sent His only Son to DIE for us...to give us the hope of spending all eternity with Him! Lift a prayer of praise and thanksgiving to our precious Lord this day, and always have your heart wide open to anything more you can learn about Him!
O great God of highest heaven
Occupy my lowly heart
Own it all and reign supreme
Conquer every rebel power
Let no vice or sin remain
That resists Your holy war
You have loved and purchased me
Make me Yours forevermore
